The Ellipsos saxophone quartet, founded in 2004, studied at the Conservatoire Superieur de Musique de Paris, France under professors Paul Meyer and Eric Lesage.

The players are:  Paul-Fathi Lacombe, soprano saxophone, Julien Brechet, alto saxophone, Sylvain Jarry, tenor saxophone, and Nicolas Herrouet, baritone saxophone.

The quartet performs at major festivals and international events and won several top competitions.

Listen to this studio recording of Toccata (Movement 6) from Ravel’s Le Tombeau de Couperin. It is a stunning performance displaying flawless double tonguing and seamless phrasing.  This piece was originally written by Ravel for piano.
